Biography [microform] (Typescript).

Born in Palmyra, Wayne County, New York, son of Parshall and Hannah Terry. Personal acquaintance with Joseph Smith while growing up near Palmyra; family's removal to Upper Canada in 1818; his first wife's death (Catherine Hannah Brown) in 1838; remarrieage to Mary Riley Burns; conversion in 1842 partly due to his early acquaintance with the Smith family; mission to the vicinity of Chicago, Illinois, in 1844-1845; exodus west; winter in Chariton, Iowa, 1847; settlement in Cartervill, Illinois until 1852; arrival in the Salt Lake Valley, 1852; settlement in Willow Creek, (Draper) Utah; call to the Dixie Cotton Mission, 1862; settlement and building of Rockville, Utah, late fall 1862; anecdotes dealing with Jacob Terry's store in Rockville; marriage to Sarah Ellen Reid, about 1870 or 1871; marriage to Clarrisa Williams; removal to Mesa, Arizona where he ran a notions store in his son Nathan's home; return and death in Drapre in 1898.
